3.5 Coordinating Benefits with another Retiree Health Plan
Prior to becoming eligible for Medicare coverage, if you are eligible
for coverage under more than one retiree health plan, the plan that has
covered you the longest as a retired Employee will be considered your
primary medical plan. If the Southern California IBEW-NECA Retiree
Health Plan is secondary to another plan, benefits will be paid after
the primary plan, where applicable.
Medicare rules do not allow a Medicare-eligible Retiree to be
enrolled in two health plans (in addition to Medicare). For more
